Joseph Picataggi Jr. is a Principal of Terra Construction Group and serves as the company’s President of Development, overseeing land acquisition, project planning, entitlement strategy, financial analysis, and community development initiatives. Since co-founding Terra Construction Group in 2018, Joe has helped lead the successful development and construction of more than 100 homes throughout Long Island, while establishing a pipeline of over 100 additional homes in various stages of planning, development, and construction. His expertise spans the entire development lifecycle, including site acquisition, feasibility analysis, municipal approvals, infrastructure planning, project financing, and construction execution. Joe is passionate about creating thoughtfully designed communities and delivering high-quality homes that balance architectural appeal, functionality, and long-term value. He works closely with municipalities, design professionals, trade partners, investors, and homeowners to ensure every project meets Terra’s standards for quality, integrity, and customer satisfaction. As President of Development, Joe plays a key role in shaping Terra’s growth strategy and identifying new opportunities throughout Long Island. His leadership is driven by a commitment to strategic planning, operational excellence, and building communities that positively impact the families who call them home. With more than 30 years of experience in construction and real estate development, he provides leadership to field teams, manages project execution from planning through completion, and is dedicated to delivering exceptional homes and communities for every client.

As President of Pre-Construction at Terra Construction Group, Kevin Spalding leads all pre-construction activities, including budgeting, estimating, value engineering, scheduling, and project planning. With a focus on thorough preparation and strategic execution, he works closely with clients, design professionals, and trade partners to ensure every project is positioned for success before construction begins, helping deliver a seamless building experience from concept to completion. Prior to joining Terra as a principal, Kevin has 30+ years in commercial and residential construction experience, including multi-unit residential ground-up construction, large-scale renovations, affordable housing, market-rate housing, and prior leadership roles with MDG Construction, Turner Construction, Triton Construction, and L+M Builders.

Oversees all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. Brendan coordinates subcontractors, manages daily field operations, and serves as the primary liaison between the project team, trade partners, and homeowners throughout the construction process.

Darren supports daily field operations by coordinating subcontractors, maintaining project schedules, monitoring quality control, and ensuring jobsites operate safely and efficiently. This role works closely with the project team to help deliver high-quality homes while maintaining strong communication between the field, office, and homeowners.

Mike provides operational and administrative support across all phases of residential construction projects. Responsibilities include contract drafting and document coordination, project management software oversight, and maintaining organized project records to help ensure efficient workflow and successful project execution.
